Team USA and Brazil Take Home the Gold at #FTLMajor

It was an exhilarating six days as the 2018 Beach Volleyball Major Series kicked off on our sands February 27th -March 4th, 2018. This was the second successive season that the ‘Venice of America' began this series and our destination shone brightly with the top beach volleyball athletes competing against one another!'

Local volleyball champions Nick Lucena and Phil Dalhausser took home the gold medal for the men’s team while Brazilians Barbara Seixas and Fernanda Berti Alves took home the gold out of female 32 teams.

Apart from the jaw dropping matches, the VIP area was also the star of the show. Fully outfitted with premier seating, ample bars, table service, and 5-star cuisine, the VIPs were VERY well treated Friday through Sunday!

The full-service catering was provided by world premiere catering company DO & CO, which did an exceptional job between the cuisine and gracious hospitality. By far, one of the best events to ever take place in Greater Fort Lauderdale. If you haven’t yet experienced the Beach Majors Volleyball Series as a VIP, it is a MUST since you also benefit from the canopied VIP grandstand area to watch the matches!

There’s also a second tier to upgrade your beach experience with the Beach Friends Lounge. These passes grant you entry to the roofed seating to watch the matches, access to the Beach Friends Lounge in the iconic B Ocean Hotel, free refreshments and entry to the public side events.

We’re blown away year after year by how spectacular the Beach Majors Team is and how they execute such a world-class event flawlessly. Big kudos to Hannes Jagerhofer, Austrian entrepreneur and founder of the Beach Volleyball Major Series for choosing Greater Fort Lauderdale as a location for the competition and for really elevating our destination on the map!
